In a monumental leap towards sustainable motorsport, the recently launched Extreme H series has captivated the racing world with its debut of the Pioneer 25 hydrogen-powered race car. Showcased at the Hydro X Prix in Scotland this past weekend, the Pioneer 25 is not just another racing vehicle—it's a revolutionary step in the transition to clean energy.Extreme H and the Pioneer 25
Extreme H, the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport series, premiered globally in London last month. Marking its debut on an official championship course, the Pioneer 25 was tested publicly by development driver Hedda Hosås at the historic Glenmuckloch open cast coal mine site. This innovative off-road race car, adorned in a striking Red Bull livery, is set to redefine the standards of eco-friendly motorsport. Designed and manufactured by Spark Racing Technology, the Pioneer 25 features a hydrogen fuel cell from Symbio, the series’ Official Fuel Cell Provider. This 75kW hydrogen fuel cell powers a battery pack that produces an astounding peak output of 400kw (550hp). With such power, the Pioneer 25 accelerates from 0-100kph in just 4.5 seconds and can conquer gradients of up to 130 percent.About the Pioneer 25
