A catalyst system developed by researchers at the University of Birmingham that enables hydrogen production from water at relatively low temperatures, suitable for centralised plants and for local generation at industrial sites using waste heat.[2][4] The university describes it as a novel thermochemical water‑splitting method that operates at significantly lower temperatures and lower cost than many existing thermochemical or high‑temperature processes.[2][4]
